Date nights require a special restaurant with great food and just the right ambiance. Berks County has some great places for a couples dinner, whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a night out. Here are 10 places we’ve visited that have become our go-tos for a dinner for two.

Dans at Green Hills
Dans is one of Berks County’s most enduring fine dining restaurants. The food is always phenomenal, and the atmosphere is feels special. Read Review

Emily’s
Emily’s has good food and a very cool feel to it, whether you’re dining inside the historic building or on the patio overlooking the creek (we prefer the creekside veiws). Read Review

Folino Estate Vineyard & Winery
While Folino Estate is kid-friendly (we saw high chairs and young children during our last visit) there is something about the architecture surrounded by vineyards that makes it feel special. The food (and wine) is also very good, too. Read Review

Judy’s on Cherry
One of the coolest dining areas in all of Berks County with food to match. We visited for the first time in early 2020 and it earned a spot on this list immediately. Read Review

The Knight’s Pub at Stokesay Castle
Yes, the Knight’s Pub is the casual dining area at Stokesay, but you’re still dining in a castle. And the outdoor firepit is a nice place to relax with or without drinks after your meal. Read Review

Mom Chaffe’s Cellarette
Excellent Italian food in one of the coziest dining rooms in Berks County. That’s the draw of Mom Chaffe’s Cellarette. The dining room sits on the lower level beneath a residence (hence, Cellarette) and has a vibe that is unlike any other restaurant around. Read Review

Savory Grille
Along the border of Berks and Lehigh Counties is the Savory Grille, one of the best restaurants within the county line. The food is incredible and the atmosphere in the Arbor Room is perfect. The Arbor Room is actually an addition so one of the walls is the original exterior stone facade. Read Review

Stouch Tavern
This was one of the first places Julie and I went for Valentine’s Day when we started dating so it will always hold a special place for us. Even if you don’t have the history with the Stouch that we have, you’ll still find the historic inn to be very charming, with good food of course. Read Review

Willoughby’s on Park
Willoughby’s is Berks County’s premier steakhouse. The food is worth every penny, and the details in the dining room provide the perfect ambiance for celebrating a special occasion. Read Review

Schell’s and Schell’s Dairy Swirl
There is nothing romantic about Schell’s (nostalgic, yes, but not romantic), but sometimes date night includes 27 holes of mini golf and ice cream. Read Review
