Bloomin’ Lotus coming to West Reading

West Reading’s vibrant dining scene will be getting a new addition soon with the addition of the Bloomin’ Lotus Cafe & Deli. The restaurant is taking over a vacant storefront on the 400 block of Penn Ave. No further information about the business is available at this time.

Scott’s Hot Spot reopening

Scott’s Hot Spot, a sandwich stand inside the Fairgrounds Farmers Market, is reopening after a long absence. July 9 is the first day of business for the stand after nearly a two-month absence. The restaurant owner had been forced to temporarily close for health reasons in May.

Chef Alan’s closed for renovations

Chef Alan’s American Bistro is closed for renovations. The West Reading staple will be closed through July 10, according to a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page.

Flying Dog gets new owners

Douglassville’s Flying Dog has been sold, according to a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page. The change ocurred early last month. The post names Rich and Tracey Mackey as the new owners.
