Dragon 21 losing legal battle over building

Fleetwood’s Dragon 21 has been dealt bad news in its ongoing legal battle over its building. According to the restaurant’s official Facebook page, the Berks County Redevelopment Authority now has possession of the property after a judge signed an Order of Possession. The long-term plan is to tear down the building that houses the restaurant in order to improve the intersection. Dragon 21 owners say the compensation they are being offered is not enough to relocate and will force the restaurant of out of business.

Boston House sold

Reading’s Boston House will be under new ownership starting next week, according to an article in the June 23 Reading Eagle. According to the article, Matei and Maria Molnar, who have owned the restaurant since 1987, are selling to Reading resident Claudio Silva. The breakfast and lunch spot is located on the 900 block of Penn Street.

Gianotti’s Robesonia reopens

Gianotti’s Family Restaurant in Robesonia has reopened under a new name. The newly minted Gianotti’s Italian Kitchen is now open. The restaurant had been closed since February for renovations.

The Works expanding with bigger bar

The Works at Wyomissing is expanding once again, this time to create a new bar area that it says will be the biggest in the area. According to the restaurant’s official Facebook page, the new bar will open on July 10.
